A three-day festival which is free of charge – that could only happen in Vienna! The Viennese Donaukanaltreiben again takes place this year from 24th May until 26th May.

Tourists and locals alike should definitely pay a visit to this event. Also this year a varied programme has been organised, for example, live concerts, DJ sets, fashion shows but also dance workshops and sporting events as well as culinary delights from the market stands and at the Food Corner. There truly is something for everyone here!

The Festival is organised by the Donaukanaltreiben society as well as by the local clubs, pubs and bars located on the banks of the Danube Canal, such as the club, Die Grelle Forelle, the Badeschiff (literally, the Bathing Ship) or the Strandbar Hermann.

Party Tip: Why not go from one venue to the next by water? You cannot miss the yellow Viennese boat taxis, which can be used free of charge by all visitors. You can board the floating taxis near the main stage at the Salztorbrücke.
